Paints
Inorganic pigments are the most commonly used by volume for colouring paints. There are many different types of paints: decorative, industrial, powder, coatings for the automotive industry, wood, anti-corrosion, amongst others.
The technical demands on the pigment r are generally greater than in other types of application.
For this reason, LANXESS has developed the following ranges:
Micronised Bayferrox®: High-performance pigments with tighter colour specifications to suit the requirements of the paint industry, in which colour repeatability is of great importance. The micronization process also promotes rapid pigment dispersion.
Colortherm®: Red iron oxides and green chromium oxides. Colortherm®’s yellows are modifications of iron oxides, which provide increased resistance to temperature.
